Ruhama Anti-prostitution Poster

SetRatioSize745550-RuhamaPoster

The poster campaign titled ‘Women sell sex because they have to, not because they want to’ aimed to raise awareness about prostitution and its impact on the women involved. This explicit image depicts the reductive nature of the sex trade. The silhouette represents women who may be any age, ethnicity or nationality but whose worth in prostitution is placed solely on the commercialisation of their bodies for sex.

Ethics & Citizenship Movement: West vs East

ACT

The poster depicts the face of two women cheek to cheek, one with her eyes covered and the other with her eyes uncovered. The poster reads ‘West/ East – Both sides of intolerance’. Under the theme of tolerance, it shows that what we believe about each other across the West/ East divide is often based on an unwillingness to really find out about each other. The poster was created by Marcos Rene, Patricia Papp and Luis Trevisani.

Community Housing Wales – Loan Sharks

Loan-sharks

This campaign warns people on low incomes about the dangers of borrowing money from loan sharks. In the poster the victim displays a shark bite mark. What is genius about the scar is that at also shows how much the victim actually owes the loan shark.

Peace Poster – Rasool Parvari Moghaddam

6108

This poster depicts broken glass in the centre outline of a bird (Dove) and a fallen white feather. The Dove is a symbol for peace but whereas the feather represents cowardice and the reluctance to fight back. I believe the designer is depicting a broken and fractured country in part with feather representing people who maybe scared to come forward in their search for peace.
